Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei (魔法 科 高校 の 劣等 生), dikenal sebagai "The Irregular At Magic High School", adalah sebuah Light Novel Jepang yang ditulis oleh Satou Tsutomu (佐 岛 勤), dengan ilustrasi oleh Ishida Kana (石田 可 奈), diterbitkan oleh Media ASCII Bekerja di bawah label Dengeki Bunko. Novel ini dimulai sebagai serialisasi baru web di "Lets Become A Novelist" pada tanggal 12 Oktober 2008. Novel ini kemudian menjadi novel web kedua setelah "Sword Art Online", yang akan diterbitkan oleh Dengeki pada bulan Juli 2011.

Story:
Shiba Tatsuya is an honor student without magic capability at First High School, a magic high school along with his sister who happens to be the top student among the freshmen. What will happen to him, and how will he live his school life where he is one of the many reserves in the school looked down upon by the chosen magical students? (From Baka-Tsuki)
